Book design

We design a finished product for you with photos and text you provide, according to your layout specifications (8 x 11.5, 10 x 10, etc.). You receive one PDF proof to review and comment on with any edits.

Your book will be fully customized for your project and budget. We work with multiple print vendors and make recommendations based on the quantity of text and photos, the number of copies you need, and what we feel will represent your project the best.

Heirloom & Family History Book

After completing the clients’ oral history interviews, genealogy research, and editing the text into a narrative format, we designed the text into this book which highlights both the photos and story.

This hardcover book is printed on 8 1/2 x 11 heavyweight, photo-white paper. Since there are photos throughout the book (and this is the first time they were being shared), we chose a glossy finish for the pages so the photos would truly pop.

We chose to print the book with a bindery that handcrafts each book and works with archives and libraries throughout the United States. The cover and spine are foil stamped with the name of the book.

Family Reunion Souvenir Program

After gathering and editing the photos and text from each branch of the family, editing the family’s genealogy lineage, and editing the patriarch’s autobiography, we designed this souvenir program to commemorate the family’s upcoming reunion.

The book’s size is 8 ½ x 11. To make the souvenir program feel luxurious and fitting for the occasion, we chose a heavyweight silk paper and cover for the book. Keeping the family’s budget in mind, we used a commercial printer and chose a perfect bound (softcover) format to make it cost-effective.
